Que Serra

Each year the Mattress Factory museum in Pittsburgh throws a themed Urban Garden Party as one of its major fundraising efforts, and invited artists are given objects to transform into works of art for a silent auction. In 2014, horseshoes were distributed for a Wild West theme. Using shape as a cue, my contribution was Que Serra, a small sculpture commemorating the placement of Richard Serra's Tilted Arc on Javits Plaza in New York City. The massive site-specific sculpture was controversially removed in 1989 following a lawsuit, and placed in storage.
